Mrs. Sunser has been teaching for the Syracuse Diocese since 1998 as a Technology Coordinator and Library Media Specialist, joining the Holy Cross faculty in 2006. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from SUNY Empire State College and graduated with an MsEd from LeMoyne College.  Her literacy work with Multilingual Classrooms is published in One Classroom, Many Learners, 2009.

About the presentation...
Kindles, Nooks, iPads, laptops, printers..etc.  Our schools are rapidly adding to their mobile device inventories. Monitoring and managing these new technologies is important.  Learn more about the L4U system and how schools are utilizing it to manage these inventories.  We will also discuss the costs of upgrades and support of this software, strengths, weaknesses and other options.

About the presentation...

"Social Media: Encouraging an Authentic Culture of Encounter" is intended to give you an overview of why it's important that your parish or organization become proficient with social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. This presentation will not only provide examples of how related organizations are successfully using social media to strengthen their communities through online engagement, but will also feature step-by-step instructions for getting started with your own social media accounts. Andrea Slaven has been part of the catechetical ministry for 24 years as a catechist, parish director of religious education and presently as a Regional Director for the Diocese of Syracuse. She holds a Masters in Education from the University of Pittsburgh, a Masters Certificate in Religious Education from Loyola Institute for Ministry and a Masters in Instructional Technology from the College of Saint Rose.
